It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my wife Sheila Lewis.
Sheila died in late September 2005 after a short but aggressive illness. She had Secondary Breast Cancer on the liver. Sheila dealt with her illness in the way that she lived her life – full on and very positively. She worked on almost until the end and “no way” was this terrible disease going to get the better of her. Very much debilitated by chemotherapy she still insisted in taking part in Trekking.
Suffolk Odyssey Llamas only came into being because of Sheila’s hard work and determination. Both of us worked together as a team to make the Trekking the success it is. We always were together with everything that we did with the llamas.
Because of this I am having difficulty facing the prospect of Trekking without Sheila the business was so much about us being and working together.
I love the llamas very much and Buzz, Woody, Pixie, Mr T, Iroko and Teasel are all very well and happy.
On the advice of friends and professionals I am taking some time out from Trekking so that I can make some decisions about the business. So for now Trekking is on hold until late May, early June 2006 at which time I shall have the web site updated.
People that have already purchased gift vouchers can either be refunded or wait until a decision has been made.
