Suffolk Odyssey Llamas is Suffolk's newest tourist attraction. Jon and Sheila Lewis are offering treks every Thursday and Saturday all year, organising guided country or coastal walks of 4 - 6 miles. Evening treks are also be available by appointment on the longer summer days. We like to keep the groups small so every adult leads their own llama for the day - they do all the hard work as they carry the table, chairs and home made picnic lunch - which we provide - from local produce as far as as possible. During the cooler days of Autumn, Winter and Spring, we will stop for a hot lunch at a pub or tearoom on our route with the llamas tethered outside! We meet at the trailhead at 10.30am and are back around 3.30-4pm. The cost is £49 per adult and £24 per child - under 14 - who must be accompanied by an adult. The walks will vary according to the time of year: eg walking a Roman road to picnic on a common covered in bee orchids in May to seeing the autumn colours of the Westleton Woods in October. We also cater for larger groups eg 3 or 4 people sharing llamas: the cost, destinations and length of walk are negotiable depending upon your requirements. Although trekking is not physically challenging, you must be able to walk at least five miles off the beaten track. We are also offering half day Sunday sessions: Introduction to Llamas. These are geared towards: families with younger children; anyone with special needs; children's birthday parties or anyone with a liking for animals but not walking! The cost is £20 per adult and £10 per child. We tell you about the llamas and you are invited to groom, handle and lead them around the field or take them on a short walk if you wish. In order to give you the best possible service and avoid disappointment, it is advantageous that you book at least 2 weeks prior to the date of the trek. Due to the size of each group, obviously late bookings may only be taken if there are spare places. A £15 deposit (payable to Suffolk Odyssey Llamas) must be paid to confirm your booking; the balance payable 14 days before the trek
